Edge of Tomorrow is based on the Japanese light novel "All You Need Is Kill" by Hiroshi Sakurazaka. The film stars Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt, and Bill Paxton. The first choice for the role of the Lt. Col. Bill Cage was the actor Brad Pitt, however Tom Cruise was finalised.
The movie is scheduled to be released in 3D and IMAX 3D on June 6, 2014.
