A per a source, "The characters in that era were truly larger than life and the glamour industry was going through the biggest change when the first sex symbol of the film industry was introduced in this era."
Himesh will play a suspended cop-turned-music-superstar, a character apparently inspired by yesteryear actor Rajkumar.
What is also interesting is that rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh is trying out his acting skills in the film and will play the villain of 'The Expose'
