New Exclusive Posters From 'Exodus: Gods And Kings' Starring Christian Bale as Moses

Title: Exodus: Gods And Kings

Exodus is an upcoming 2014 drama/biblical film directed by Ridley Scott and written by Bill Collage, Adam Cooper and Steven Zaillian. The film stars Christian Bale, Joel Edgerton, Aaron Paul, Ben Kingsley and Sigourney Weaver. It is an interpretation of the exodus of the Jews from Egypt as led by Moses and related in the Bible book of Exodus. Exodus is a Biblical epic based on the life and times of Moses. Christian Bale will be headlining Scott’s film as the prophet (featured in the Book of Exodus) Moses...meanwhile, Joe Edgerton has been cast as the adopted brother-turned bitter rival, the Egyptian ruler Ramses.

On March 27, 2014, studio changed the title of the film to "Exodus: Gods and Kings".

Exodus will hit the theatres on 12th December, 2014.

 We've got an exclusive poster reveal of Christian Bale playing Moses in director Ridley Scott’s upcoming Old Testament epic Exodus: Gods and Kings. Bale’s armored warrior get-up is a far cry from the iconic beard-and-robe look sported by cinema's most famous Moses, Charlton Heston in The Ten Commandments. But that's by design: One of Bale’s conditions for taking the role, he told Entertainment Weekly, was "no fake beards." "The biblical account of Moses is extraordinary, and there was lots of room for us to go to places that The Ten Commandments never dreamed of going," the Oscar-winning actor told the magazine.


Scott’s all-star film tells the story of Moses leading the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt, then under rule of the Pharaoh Ramses, who's played by an almost unrecognizable Joel Edgerton (The Great Gatsby, Warrior), shown in the solo poster below.


Exodus: Gods and Kings continues the Biblical-epic trend that’s been sweeping theaters all year, beginning with Son of God in February and Noah in March. Exodus opens in theaters on Dec. 12.
