Jurassic World (2015)

Director Colin Trevorrow will helm Jurassic Park 4 with Steven Spielberg to serve as executive producer. The fourth installment was written by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (Rise of the Planet of the Apes).

The Amblin Entertainment and Universal Pictures production is scheduled for release on June 12, 2014. Jurassic Park (1993) centered on a multimillionaire who unveils a new theme park where visitors can observe dinosaurs cloned using advanced DNA technology. But when an employee tampers with the security system, the dinosaurs escape, forcing the visitors to fight for their survival.

Description:

Jurassic World is an upcoming science fiction adventure film and the fourth in the Jurassic Park film series. Progress on a fourth film has endured more than a decade of "development hell" since the release of Jurassic Park III in 2001. The film was initially given a release date of June 13, 2014, but production was temporarily halted due to a disagreement between writers and Universal Studios regarding the film's script and direction.
Nonetheless, Jurassic World re-entered development and is now scheduled for theatrical release on June 12, 2015.

Colin Trevorrow is directing the film, with Patrick Crowley and Frank Marshall producing. Derek Connolly and Trevorrow teamed up to write the script.

Premise/Synopsis:

Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond. This new park is owned by the Patel Corporation. Owen (portrayed by Chris Pratt), a member of Jurassic World's on-site staff, conducts behavioral research on the Velociraptors. After many years, Jurassic World's attendance rates begin to decline, and a new attraction created to re-spark visitor interest gravely backfires.

Comic-Con-goers were left disappointed at the lack of “Jurassic World” news coming out of the convention last weekend so Colin Trevorrow is offering compensation.

The director tweeted a new photo of Chris Pratt as park keeper Owen in "Jurassic World" on the heels of the actor’s 'Guardians of the Galaxy' opening. The image offers a close shot of Pratt’s face. There are no dinosaurs, no supporting cast members, no context in the background.
