Labor Day is an upcoming American drama film based on the novel Labor Day by Joyce Maynard. The film is scheduled for limited release on December 25, 2013 in the United States. It was announced in 2009 that the film would be directed by Jason Reitman. On June 16, 2011, it was announced that Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin committed to star as the film's leads Adele and Frank, respectively.The film will have a limited release on 25th December, 2013.

Plot:

''Depressed single mom Adele (Kate Winslet) and her son Henry (Gattlin Griffith) offer a wounded, fearsome man (Josh Brolin) a ride. As police search town for the escaped convict, the mother and son gradually learn his true story as their options become increasingly limited.''
