HIGHWAY BOXOFFICE - BOLLYWOOD MOVIE 2014


Highway is a 2014 Bollywood romance-drama film, directed by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It stars Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. The film released worldwide on February 21, 2014.

Highway has collected Rs 13.97 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in the first weekend. Considering its screen count, trade experts opine that its three-day business is on par with many biggies' movies. Its breakup is Rs 3.42 cr on Fri, Rs 4.80 cr on Sat and Rs 5.75 cr on Sun.
Highway was released in 800 screens and opened to a poor response on Friday. Having garnered mixed reviews from critics and viewers, the movie witnessed big jump in its numbers on Saturday and Sunday. The Imtiaz Ali-directed film, which has been made with medium budget of Rs 20 crores, has recovered 60% of its production cost in three days.

The 2 week gross of Highway is around 23 crore nett.
Overall, the film performed low at the boxoffice and was declared an Average Grosser after 2 weeks.


Plot:

"A full of life, young city girl  travels at night on the highway with her fiance. They both plan to get married in four days. Suddenly, her life is swung away from the brocade and jewellery of marriage to the harsh brutality of abduction. She is taken away by this group of rustic criminals. Her life will never be the same again."
