Batman v. Superman Movie Gets a Title 'DAWN OF JUSTICE'

Warner Bros. has bestowed a new title upon its much anticipated Batman v. Superman movie, Dawn of Justice, that leaves no room for guessing what comes next: The Justice League. Warner Bros. has been plotting a Justice League movie since before it even revamped its Superman franchise with 'Man of Steel' and the success of that movie affirmed that it could proceed with several more movies based on DC comics after several stops and starts (see The Lantern, Green). Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Clark (Superman) and Ben Affleck will be joining the cast as Batman. Zack Snyder, who is helming the project also directed the 2013 Action/Drama/Thriller 'Man Of Steel'. A few days ago, he released two new pictures of the first look of Batman in the movie along with Batman's Batmobile on twitter which went viral within a few hours. Gal Gadot will be playing the very famous character of 'Wonder Woman', one of several characters that indicated Warner Bros. was making a Justice League movie before it officially announced its plans in late April.

Warner Bros. plans to release the film on May 6, 2016, the same day Disney and Marvel have scheduled the third 'Captain America' movie. Well, it seems we will just have to wait and see who among these production giants will first shift their date as the demand for both the movie franchises is extremely high. My take on this is that 'Captain America' will surely perform better at the boxoffice if it comes to competition with the DC comics movie. But who knows, maybe Dawn Of Justice will change audience's mind.

Whether "Man of Steel" was really a "success" is up for debate. Man of Steel grossed about $670million which puts it a little behind 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' which is still in theatres and a little above Thor: The Dark World. It did half the business of Iron Man 3. When it comes to comic book superheroes, you have Superman, Batman and Spider-Man at the top of the list. Warner Bros. is more focused on setting up a Justice League movie than making good individual movies. These other studios all want an instant cinematic universe and think they can skip all the steps that Marvel took in building one.

What do you think, will Warner Bros. change the release date of their latest extravaganza or not, which one will gross better ?? After all its all about the boxoffice and figures. Right ?
Is it DC COMICS VS MARVEL ??
