On its opening day in Hong Kong, the film earned $1.23 million, the highest opening gross in the territory ever.
After the release of Seth Rogen and Zac Efron's family vs. frat comedy Neighbors, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was dethroned. Neighbors performed really well in its opening weekend takingn the first spot, giving a hard blow to the Marvels latest installment.
